How Do I Get My Lewis Structure Chemistry Degree?In order to obtain your Lewis Structure Chemistry degree you will need to complete all the required courses in order to complete your program. This includes the core which must be taken before attempting any of the electives or the non-core and therefore you must choose them as part of your program of study. Once the core is completed, you can then choose electives that are more related to the major field of study, most of which are listed below.The first course you will take for your Lewis Structure Chemistry degree is Advanced Algebra which is taught by Professor Mats Vukovic. A topic of choice is eigenvectors which are used to calculate eigenvalues. Students will be presented with a variety of problems and exercises in this course and will have the opportunity to earn a C grade if they are unable to solve these problems.The second course, you will take for your degree is a course that is based on a particular core and class numbers. It will not be similar to any other core course you have already taken or one that you have taken previously because it will be the only course based on a core that you have chosen. The chosen core for your core course should be the sixth course in your core curriculum and that is also required.The third course you will take is a topic that is contained in class numbers 716 and 824. This course involves Computational Physics, with classes written by the then Prof. Andrea Teunissen.The fourth course you will take is a topic that is based on an M.Sc. level and which covers molecular and atomic structure and dynamics. You will complete the course with a C grade and will have to choose electives from this course as well. Students will learn about the properties of crystals, crystals themselves, and how these properties can affect the behavior of molecules and atoms.The fifth course you will take is a topic that is contained in class numbers 496 and 499. This course focuses on pure and residual liquid metals as well as their chemical properties. Electives taken in this course will include electric fields, electronic properties of minerals, and the behavior of solids.The sixth course you will take is a topic that is contained in class numbers 3995 and 4951. This course involves the chemistry of reactants, intermediates, and products and the uses of reactions. Students will also learn about the properties of solid states, reaction processes, and the mechanisms of chemical reactions.

Encouraging teenagers to study â€" an impossible task Education can often be the last thing on a teenager's mind, particularly when there is plethora of computer games, social networking sites and TV channels competing for their attention. Encouraging a child to study can be the hardest challenge a parent or private tutor will face, particularly during the school holidays when teenagers have put exam revision behind them and are surrounded by a seemingly endless array of distractions. There are a number of tried and tested methods you can turn to though, which will not only encourage study, but will also sow the seeds for self-discipline later in life: Encourage students to allocate certain times in the day dedicated to studying. Sometimes studying can seem like a chore - especially for teenagers eager to see their mates - but unless you instill into them the importance of putting aside an hour each day that is used only for GCSE or A-level revision, you will be fighting a losing battle. Good time management skills are essential for making grades and passing exams, so really emphasize to your child that this 'study time' is just as an essential part of their day as brushing their teeth or eating their meals. Do not force your child into studying. The key word here is encouragement. If they have one last level to beat on their Xbox, then let them play. However, only do so with the full understanding that they will need to finish their school work afterwards. You could even turn the tables and use this as a form of reward for working hard. (Though I recommend stopping short of blatant bribery!) Show a keen interest in your child's social life. A good social life is just as important for your child's development as their school work. The more interest you show them in the life they lead with their friends, the more open they will be to listening to you when it comes to homework and exam revision. These are just three of many possible ways to encourage teenage children to build study time into their day-to-day lives, but the list is by no means exhaustive.
